PUBLIC NOTICE

INVITATION TO BID

DEMOLITION of HOUSE & PARKING LOT PAVING for CHURCH

Bids will be received by the Glenolden Congregational Church at 115 South Scott Avenue, Glenolden, PA 19036, until 4:00 pm prevailing time Wednesday, November 16th, 2011. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and reviewed by the committee on Thursday, November 17, 2011, at 7:00 pm prevailing time.

Specification packages are available and can be emailed (PDF) or (Hard copies $10.00)

Envelopes should be clearly marked BID ENCLOSED – CHURCH PARKING LOT.

The Glenolden Congregational Church reserves the right, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the request for proposals and to award the bid in whole or in part for the best interest of the Church to the most qualified bidder.

Bidder should be in good standing with the State of PA and the Borough of Glenolden. Bids should include proper erosion control, demolition of 1 house, drainage pit, removal of 10 trees, leveling of property for drainage away from the church building including drainage (3 locations) from church to drainage pit, driveway to garage and parking lot, curbing and concrete work. Contractor shall perform parking lot construction, line painting and underground drainage construction as described in attachments.

Winning bidder responsibility to secure all permits and pay fees for borough, county and state as required.

Contractor must keep a clear 5 foot wide entrance on existing driveway to rear of church.

Clean sidewalks and roadway around worksite

No work on Sundays or religious holidays

Project completion dates : demolition 2011, competition date April 2012

Drainage:

3 down spouts drains from Church building and connect to one existing overflow connection from drainage pit

Conduit:

Install 2” underground conduit from Church equipment room to garage 65’

Fencing:

Install 25‘ solid 6' high PVC fence Chester Pike property

Concrete work:

Remove and replace 4 large walkway blocks at bottom of porch stairs

Remove and replace 4 sidewalk blocks along Gardner Avenue past porch area
